In 2015, the Emo Walleye Classic will have a new weekend for anglers to ply their skills on the Rainy River!
For the first year ever, tournament organizers have set the dates for the tournament in the first week of June. Because the Rainy River is, at times, more challenging to navigate eariler in the spring, we responded to feedback from several competitors over the years to adjust our dates for 2015. We were fortunate this year that water levels stayed fairly stable for the week of the tournament, but other years have been more difficult, both for volunteers and anglers. Next year, the tournament will run June 4th, 5th and 6th.
So mark the date in your calendar right now — and stay tuned for more exciting news later this summer. 2015 is going to be the year you don’t want to miss!
